Wellness Nurse LPN - Position
Summary
Provides licensed nursing services to residents and may require supervision of other staff positions.
Wellness Nurse LPN -
Responsibilities
Responsible for medication administration for the residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations.
May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.
Responsible for completing service plans.
May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director.
Provide general consultation regarding health‐related concerns within the community.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently when listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Notify physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
Respond quickly to all emergencies.
Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members.
Provide educational meetings for residents and staff and attend all required training, in‐service and staff meetings.
May provide oversight and direction for care staff.
Understand roll in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families and co‐
workers.
Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Wellness Nurse LPN -
Requirements
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN of the state. A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified or willing to become certified.
