About the Role

As an RN/LPN at QMG Now, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients seeking treatment for acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced walk-in clinic environment. Working alongside providers and a collaborative care team, you will assess patients, perform clinical procedures, assist with diagnostics, and help ensure patients receive timely, efficient care without an appointment.

This PRN position is ideal for a nurse who enjoys variety, thinks critically, and thrives in a dynamic clinical setting where no two days are the same.

Schedule & Work Environment

Per diem position. Weekend availability is required, with a minimum commitment of two weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per month. Eligible for weekend differential pay. Additional weekday shifts may be available based on department needs. Fast-paced walk-in clinic caring for patients of all ages with acute illnesses and minor injuries. Collaborative team environment focused on providing convenient, patient-centered care.

Primary Responsibilities

Assess patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, current medications, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for examination and assist providers with office procedures and treatments. Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments within scope of practice and organizational policies.

Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical procedures as appropriate. Assist with wound care, splinting, suture removal, and other minor procedures. Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate concerns promptly to providers.

Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record. Ensure exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care.

Collaborate with providers and team members to maintain efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience. Perform other duties as assigned to support QMG Now operations.

Qualifications

Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required. Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Current CPR certification required. Previous experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family practice, pediatrics, or ambulatory care preferred. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and patient education abilities. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $18.66 - $27.99 per hour for LPNs and $25.00 - $37.50 per hour for RNs, with actual pay determined by licensure, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through

  • shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
