Shift: Weekdays 8:30a-5p.
The Registered Nurse (RN) functions as a member of the clinic’s patient care team that includes licensed practice nurses (LPN), medical assistants (MA), clinic assistants, technicians, clerical staff, physician assistants (PA), nurse practitioners (NP), and physicians. The RN performs technical, patient related functions in the ambulatory setting. The RN assists the physician to ensure optimal patient care within established nursing standards and scope of practice.
The RN provides leadership and direction to clinical staff and delegates tasks that are appropriate to optimize patient care. The RN will support clinic operations and deliver patient care focusing on safe, quality care to ensure that Meriter’s values are met.

Required
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin
- Current CPR certification
- Understands the nursing process and can apply to patient care, optimizing patient outcomes
- Understands and supervises delegated tasks to unlicensed personnel
- Enjoys working with variety of patient ages and conditions/diagnosis
- Excellent organizational, internal and external service excellence skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present oneself as a professional
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever changing environment with multiple priorities
- Ability to work well independently and within teams
- Ability to prioritize work in an efficient manner
- Ability to recognize and respond to urgent needs in a timely manner
Preferred
Qualifications
- 1-3 years healthcare experience working in an ambulatory clinic setting
- Knowledge of Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) System
- Telephone triage
- Prior knowledge/experience working with regulatory standards (e.g. CMS, Joint Commission)
- Experience in committee membership and participation
