Telemetry Registered Nurse

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using advanced telemetry equipment to detect arrhythmias and other cardiac events promptly.

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans.

• Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex conditions such as acute pain, infectious diseases, or post-operative needs.

• Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and NCQA standards.

• Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including cardiac and urinary), tube feeding management, and ventilator care.

• Provide education and support to patients and families on health management topics like medication administration, disease processes (e.g., ICU or trauma medicine), and discharge planning.

• Current RN licensure with active state registration; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

• Proven experience working with telemetry monitoring systems in acute or critical care settings.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and aseptic techniques.

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with laboratory processing, specimen collection, and medical documentation is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to perform complex patient assessments including vital signs, trauma response procedures, and emergency response protocols like critical & intensive care or trauma medicine.

• Skilled in medication administration, IV insertion/infusion therapy, venipuncture, catheter care, and infection control practices.

• Additional experience in specialized areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), geriatrics (memory care or long-term care), behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, or pediatric nursing is highly desirable.
