As a Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you'll provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients with acute mental health needs in a dynamic inpatient behavioral health setting. Working alongside Registered Nurses and an interdisciplinary care team, you'll play a key role in promoting patient safety, stabilization, and recovery.
From medication administration and patient monitoring to behavioral observation, crisis intervention, and care coordination, you'll help create a safe, therapeutic environment where patients can heal and thrive. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to)
Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute mental and behavioral health needs in an inpatient setting Observe, monitor, and document patient behavior, mental status, and safety risks Administer medications as ordered and monitor for side effects Assist with crisis intervention and de‑escalation to promote unit safety Support admissions, discharges, and transfers, including patient education Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per policy and regulations
