- *Planning:*
Provides for 24 hour nursing coverage of assigned area. Reviews staffing statics to anticipates and plan for unit needs.
Effectively establishes priorities to support the philosophy, mission, and goals of Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center. Displays an organized approach to job
Translates plans into reality
Assist in the development of unitbudget
*2. Directing: *
Supervises nursing care activities ofassigned area.
Conducts rounds with staff andphysicians to identify unit and patients needs.
Delegates appropriately
Displays leadership skills andaccountability.
Participates in orientation, training,and development of personnel.
Conducts monthly meetings with unitstaff, participates in department and hospital committees as assigned.
follow and support hospital policy andprocedures.
*3. Evaluating:*
Evaluates nursing activities as related to the Quality Improvement Plans of the unit, department andorganization.
Conducts performance appraisals timelyand establishes development plans for continued improvement.
Monitors variance to establishedClinical Pathways and establishes correction processes.
Monitors and analyzes budgetvariances.
*4. Customer Relations:*
Investigates customer complaints,internal/external, initiate a resolve and refer
