Provides direct patient care in perioperative settings, including the Operating Room and PACU, utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to safety standards. Demonstrates proficiency in nursing processes, collaborates within multidisciplinary teams, and mentors new staff or students.
Responsibilities
Performs top-of-scope nursing duties, supports clinical education, and contributes to quality and safety at the point of care. Ensures compliance with certifications and standards, and maintains competence through ongoing education.
Qualifications &
Skills
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure, and 6 months of OR nursing experience or completion of a fellowship. BLS certification is mandatory. Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for success in a dynamic environment.
