Position
Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a key role in the admission process within the River Edge facility. This position is responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals entering treatment. The LPN completes nursing assessments, records vital signs, and documents client information accurately.
The role also involves monitoring clients for changes in condition, ensuring safety during the admission process, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support individualized care planning. The LPN serves as both a caregiver and an advocate, helping clients and families transition smoothly into services while upholding the highest standards of clinical and ethical practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to individuals with mental health, substance dependence, and/or developmental disabilities.
- Observe clients, document progress, and report changes in condition; take necessary action as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and accurately charts times and amounts given.
- Measure and record vital signs and key health statistics (e.g., height, weight).

175 Emery Highway, Macon., GA – Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
Qualifications
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- One year of experience in Mental Health Nursing
Preferred
Experience
- Certifications required/maintained: CPR/FA/AED, CPI, Defensive Driving (if assigned), safety training, Essential Learning courses, and any other assigned/required certifications.
- Knowledge of basic nursing care, first aid, personal care, and hygiene.
- Previous experience in behavioral health services is strongly preferred.
