*Overview* Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Night Registered Nurse (RN), where your expertise and compassionate care will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives during overnight shifts. As a Night RN, you will be at the forefront of patient assessment, medication administration, and critical care, ensuring safety and comfort through every shift. Your dedication will help uphold our commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery while fostering a supportive and engaging work atmosphere. *Responsibilities* * Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans. * Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management tailored to individual needs. * Manage airway maintenance, ventilator support, and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal respiratory and infection control standards. * Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and vascular), phlebotomy, and wound care with precision and adherence to safety protocols. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on complex cases involving trauma medicine, ICU patients, or post-operative recovery, utilizing EMR systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation. * Provide specialized care for patients with chronic conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities in memory care or assisted living environments. * Support emergency response efforts by triaging patients in urgent situations, managing acute pain, and implementing life support measures like basic life support (BLS). * Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain detailed medical records while delivering compassionate patient care during overnight hours. *Qualifications* * Valid RN license with current state registration. * Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers; Level I or II trauma center experience preferred. * Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures. * Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical imaging and diagnostic evaluation is a plus. * Competency in advanced nursing skills including IV insertion, aseptic technique, ventilator management, tube feeding, and infection control practices. * Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator), geriatrics (memory care), behavioral health, or hospice & palliative medicine. * Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments accurately while demonstrating excellent communication skills. * Critical thinking skills combined with a proactive approach to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
