Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Performs initial assessment utilizing professional nursing knowledge and skills. Analyzes patient related data, such as vital signs, past medical history, physical exam findings, laboratory values and other information. Provides health education and teaching to patient, family and significant others. Plans nursing care based on priority of physical and psychosocial emotional needs. Implements the plan of care including prescribed procedures and treatments.
