About this role
The Observation Unit Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care for patients requiring short-term monitoring, evaluation, and treatment. This position coordinates all aspects of patient care, including assessment, education, care planning, discharge planning, and transitions of care. Working within the Nursing Professional Practice Model and the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the RN plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates individualized care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, efficient, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Current Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- One year of RN experience preferred
- Previous Medical-Surgical, Observation, Emergency Department, or Acute Care nursing experience highly preferred
- ACLS and PALS certification preferred and required within one year of hire
- Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple patient needs while delivering safe, compassionate care
