Registered Nurse (RN) - Weekend Doubles

*Position Summary*

The *Weekend Double Charge Nurse (RN)* is responsible for overseeing resident care and nursing operations for extended weekend shifts. This role ensures continuity of care, clinical excellence, and staff support across the facility while serving as the primary nursing leader on duty.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Monitor, assess, and document resident conditions during rounds
• Implement and follow individualized care plans and physician orders
• Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely
• Complete nursing assessments prior to physician notification
• Identify changes in resident condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Participate in physician rounds and chart visits as applicable
• Perform narcotic reconciliation between shifts
• Supervise, support, and guide CNAs and other nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies
• Complete incident and accident reports per facility protocol
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator

*QualificationsEducation*

• Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program

*Licensure*

• Current RN license in good standing with the State of Texas

*Experience*

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
• Charge nurse or supervisory experience strongly preferred
