American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery Nights position requiring BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications and at least 1 year of recent L&D experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
  • Provides care across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
  • 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Alternating weekend rotation required

  • Active RN license (MS state or Compact) required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
  • Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment start
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
  • No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
  • Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration

  • Utilizes the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care
  • Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
  • Delegates patient care priorities and supervises assigned personnel
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
  • RTO requests must be less than 1 week
