*Who We’re Looking For*

Elevé nurses work independently in private recovery environments, so strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgment and confidence working without immediate bedside support are essential.

Candidates should be calm, professional, attentive and comfortable communicating directly with patients, families and surgical providers.

*Requirements*

Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license

Current BLS certification

Minimum 2 years of RN experience

Strong nursing assessment and medication-administration skills

Ability to recognize and appropriately escalate postoperative complications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently

Reliable transportation

Ability to work primarily 12-hour overnight assignments

Ability to successfully complete background screening and credential verification

Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality

*Preferred*

Clinical Background Experience in PACU, plastic/cosmetic surgery, surgical services, ICU, emergency nursing, progressive/step-down care, ENT, postoperative nursing, or another acute-care specialty is strongly preferred.

*Schedule & Case Availability*

This is a PRN/per-diem position. Shifts are offered based on surgical case volume, and a minimum number of weekly or monthly hours is not guaranteed. Most assignments are approximately 12 hours and occur overnight following surgery.

Nurses receive case location and scheduling information before accepting an assignment.

*Service Area & Travel*

Most assignments are located throughout the Metro Detroit tri-county area, including Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties. Occasional assignments may be available outside the primary service area. Extended-distance assignments will be discussed with the RN in advance, including any applicable travel or mileage compensation. Long-distance assignments are not required unless accepted by the RN.

*Compensation*

$50.00 per hour. Elevé is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses who enjoy postoperative care but want something different from the traditional hospital environment: one patient, one nurse, focused postoperative care.

If you are clinically strong, dependable, compassionate and interested in providing a highly personalized postoperative nursing experience, we would love to hear from you.
