Nurse Practitioner

*Position Overview* We are seeking a motivated and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor, paid per visit, within a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility. We can also consider W2 payment for this position and it is primarily a weekend rotation schedule. In this role, you will function as a consulted Internal Medicine provider, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey by ensuring medical stability, managing acute and chronic conditions, and collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary team. This position offers the unique opportunity to work under the guidance of two experienced MDs, providing mentorship and clinical oversight, with strong potential for growth into a full-time role as the company expands. *Key Responsibilities* * Provide internal medicine consultation services on an as-needed basis * Conduct medical evaluations and follow-up visits for rehab patients * Manage acute and chronic medical conditions to optimize rehab outcomes * Review labs, diagnostics, and medication regimens * Collaborate with physiatrists, MDs, nursing staff, and therapy teams * Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and care planning * Ensure timely, accurate EMR documentation * Support efforts to reduce complications and hospital readmissions *Qualifications* * Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in FL * Board Certified (FNP, AGNP, or ACNP preferred) * Experience in internal medicine, hospital medicine, geriatrics, or post-acute care preferred * Strong clinical decision-making skills * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities * Ability to work independently while collaborating under physician guidance *Compensation & Schedule* * 1099 Independent Contractor * Will also consider W2 * Paid per visit (competitive per-encounter rate) * Weekend coverage * Opportunity to increase visit volume as the program grows * Clear pathway to full-time opportunity with company expansion *Why Join Us?* * Work in a state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility * Learn directly from two experienced MDs * Flexible schedule with growth potential * Be part of a growing, forward-thinking organization * Make a meaningful impact on patients regaining independence If you are looking for a flexible consulting role with mentorship, professional growth, and the opportunity to work in a premier rehabilitation setting, we encourage you to apply.
