As a Registered Nurse - Surgical Services, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing. The role involves evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education, assuming responsibility for patient preparation, participating in surgical site verification, recognizing and responding to patient emergencies, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Certifications

Requirements

RN license eligible to practice in the State of Texas
Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred (BSN required within 3 years of employment)
Minimum of two years' experience required; minimum of one year in a critical care area, preferably PACU
RN license eligible to practice in the State of Texas
BLS required from an HCA approved vendor
ACLS required from an HCA approved vendor
PALS within 90 days
Professional Nursing Organization membership encouraged
Certification in nursing specialty preferred
