Delivers direct and indirect nursing care in strict adherence to the California Nurse Practice Act, individual scope of licensure, and Mercy Medical Center (MMC) policies and procedures Assesses patient needs, develops and executes problem-oriented care plans, and evaluates the ongoing effectiveness of all nursing interventions provided Provides immediate clinical direction and oversight to other members of the nursing care team to ensure the appropriate and consistent delivery of nursing services Maintains proficiency in the specific clinical skills and patient age populations required by the assigned unit, as defined by departmental orientation and competency checklists Recognizes that unit-specific competency checklists are incorporated by reference as an essential and formal component of this job description

- Basic Life Support (BLS)- CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
- Must be able to take call, float to other areas, and work on weekends as required
Preferred
One year experience in an acute care setting, upon hire
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
