- Manage acute health issues such as injuries, illnesses, or emergencies by providing first aid or triage assessments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Athenahealth.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions or disabilities.
- Support students with complex medical needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, or ventilator management.
- Educate students and staff on health topics including hygiene, disease prevention, and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Valid WA Registered Nursing License in good standing.
- Proven experience working in medical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric and geriatric care practices including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care.
- Experience with IV infusion, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support (BLS).
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students of all ages, staff members, and families.
