American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and a WA or compact RN license in hand.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a critical access, non-trauma hospital with 25 staffed beds
  • Patient ratios of 1:3-4
  • Day shifts on a 3x12 hour schedule with rotating weekends required
  • Variable day and evening shift start times (0700, 1000, or 1200)
  • No night shifts, on-call, or floating between units required
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Teaching hospital setting

Requirements

  • Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required
  • Required

ACLS, BLS, nihss, PALS, tncc

  • Epic charting experience required
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
  • Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
  • Experience managing patients on continuous IV sedation and vasopressors
  • Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
  • Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, and triage
  • 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
  • May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
  • Scrub color is not restricted
  • No parking fees at this facility
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
