209 Urgent Care in Modesto, Ca is looking for a Nurse Practitioner excited about delivering an amazing urgent care experience to patients of all ages. You are a licensed health professional who maintains and restores human health through the practice of evidence-based medicine. You will review medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose illnesses/injuries, collaborate on treatment plans, and counsel patients on health and well-being.

What you will perform

Provide exceptional treatment, collaborative care options (within the scope of urgent care), including physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment
Order and interpret x-rays, lab results, and EKGs
Triage and manage patients thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a steady flow to avoid long wait times
Treatment of common concerns and procedures could include: STI diagnosis and treatment, wound closure and management, I&D, foreign body removal, ingrown toenail repair, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening, and stabilization, etc.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as aspirations and injection of joints, bursas, and cysts. Start IV fluids
Perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes, including nursecleaner’s elbow reductions
Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances
Review and manage daily tasks, patient callbacks, and lab results, while on shift
Provide oversight and lead the day-to-day operations, as the sole provider and serve as an expert by consulting, and coaching.

What is required of you

NP - Valid California license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
Current, unrestricted NP license to practice in the state of California
Maintain a controlled substance license along with an unrestricted California DEA license
