Job Description
Overview
A structured inpatient detox and behavioral health program in Hunt, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients through medical detox and recovery.
This is a hands-on clinical role working with patients experiencing substance withdrawal and co-occurring mental health conditions in a controlled, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients in detox and recovery
- Monitor withdrawal symptoms using CIWA and COWS protocols
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff
- Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies
- Support patient education and recovery engagement
Qualifications
Required
Active Texas RN license (unencumbered) BLS certification
Preferred
- ACLS certification
- 1+ year RN experience in behavioral health, detox, ER, ICU, or corrections
- Experience with withdrawal protocols (CIWA/COWS)
- Strong communication and crisis intervention skills
