About this role

Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Acts as clinical resource by overseeing the delivery of patient care, directs and delegates patient care assignments to home health aides and nursing staff based on acuteness of patient care needs and staff capability and anticipates future needs.

Maintains clinically competent in providing direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, all other disciplines, primary and secondary physicians, and community resources/programs.

Requirements

  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required
  • Degree from accredited academic nursing program
  • Inpatient experience
  • RN License
