About this role

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a contracted, school-based placement in Mendota, CA for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a part -time Building Float role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Minimum requirements

  • Active CNA certification

  • Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student: support diabetics, boo-boos, sick, etc.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and accountability
  • Pediatric and school-based experience preferred

What you'll do

  • Work closely with the school nurse to assist with daily health office duties, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with health screenings, managing health office inventory, and cleaning and disinfecting equipment
  • Report student concerns, injuries, illnesses, and changes in condition to the school nurse
  • Implement student care plans as directed by the school nurse
