About this role
Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring airway management, pain control, and hemodynamic stability. Administer medications and IV therapies with accuracy and safety. Document patient care thoroughly in EMR systems. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient recovery. Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes. Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition, providing timely interventions. Participate in ongoing learning, quality improvement, and initiatives to promote health equity and culturally responsive care.
Qualifications & Skills
Valid RN license. Experience in post-anesthesia or acute care settings preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work compassionately with diverse patient populations.
