Registered Nurse - OBGYN/Fertility

Under general supervision, guided by the policies and procedures of the Center for Reproductive Health (CRH) and UCSF Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the physician staff, the Registered Nurse (RN) role crosses care settings to promote health and healing for a specific patient population. The primary focus of the role is to improve access, timeliness to treatment and care coordination within the healthcare organization. The nurse performs established nursing procedures using clinical knowledge to care for patients.

The RN collaborates with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team in providing excellent clinical care to all patients attending CRH for medical services and treatment. The RN is a clinical expert in the specialty nursing area of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), providing expert nursing care to patients receiving assisted and routine reproductive techniques and services. Duties include in-person consultations, patient treatment and medication instruction, EMR charting and documentation, preparing treatment schedules, assessment and monitoring of patient medication needs, assisting with clinical procedures, triaging patient phone calls, and coordinating patient care between practice teams.
