Registered Nurse - Operating Room

• Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare for and assist during surgical procedures.
• Provide comprehensive patient assessments preoperatively and postoperatively.
• Administer medications and IV therapy, including IV insertion as needed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery, responding promptly to any changes.
• Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Educate patients and their families about postoperative care, health coaching, and recovery expectations.
• Document all nursing care activities accurately in the patient's medical record.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills in areas such as acute care, cardiac catheterization, ophthalmology, and phlebotomy.

*Requirements*

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Strong background in acute care nursing, preferably within an operating room setting.
• Proficiency in patient care techniques, including IV insertion and phlebotomy skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations within a dynamic healthcare environment.
