About this role

Functioning under moderate supervision, the Clinical Nurse II is, at minimum, a competent practitioner. This level clinician utilizes the nursing process in providing patient care and patient/family teaching. The practitioner organizes and implements safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care in controlled settings with predictable outcomes. Patients served may include neonate through adult-geriatric.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Maryland
  • BLS certification
  • Medication certification
  • Successful completion of required hospital, nursing and unit orientation
  • Demonstrated proficiency at Clinical Nurse I level and eligibility for Clinical Nurse II
  • ACLS required (PACU, ICCU, ED)
  • NALS required (Obstetrical-Nursery) or eligible for completion within six months from date in position
