Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Step-Down

Local Pay Range: $50 - $53/ hr on W2
Travel Weekly Gross pay: $2000 - $2164/ week for 36 hours/ week

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step-Down Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for high-acuity medical patients in an Intermediate Care/Step-Down setting and excel in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
Manage patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac and respiratory illnesses.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge care.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and evidence-based nursing practices.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Step-Down/IMCU experience*.

Previous travel nursing experience required.

Current AHA BLS and ACLS* certifications.

Strong assessment, telemetry monitoring, and critical care skills.
