About this role

*Precision Healthcare Solutions* is seeking a dependable and compassionate *Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)* for a *1:1 school nursing assignment* supporting a medically complex pediatric student in Atlanta.

*

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, *8:00 AM–3:00 PM*, following the school calendar. The student is *dropped off and picked up by a parent/guardian daily*, so the nurse is not required to ride the school bus.

*Position Type:* *1099 Independent Contractor*

Assignment Overview

The student is nonambulatory and requires consistent nursing supervision and assistance throughout the school day. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing continuous *1:1 nursing support*
  • Performing and monitoring *G-tube feedings* according to physician orders
  • Assisting with *toileting, dressing, feeding, positioning, and other activities of daily living*
  • Providing *frequent repositioning and skin-integrity monitoring* due to a history of pressure-related skin concerns
  • Monitoring the student’s general health status and identifying changes that may require intervention
  • Assisting with safe mobility, transfers, positioning, and participation in classroom activities
  • Communicating appropriately with the parent/guardian, school staff, and agency
  • Completing required nursing documentation accurately and on time

The student has a history of *cerebral palsy, central diabetes insipidus, significant mobility limitations, and G-tube dependence*. Current records indicate that *medications are not routinely administered during the school day*. Medical Exam Report 2.pdf

*Qualifications*

Applicants must have a current *Georgia or Compact LPN license*, current CPR/BLS certification, and experience or comfort caring for pediatric patients with *G-tubes and mobility/ADL needs*. Previous pediatric, home-health, private-duty, or school-nursing experience is preferred.
