ME-Nurse Tech PRN Nursing Pool Float Central Texas

Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Exemplifies AdventHealth’s core values of Keep Me Safe, Make It Easy, Love Me, and Own It through behavior. Other duties as assigned.

Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a registered nurse. Documents and reports all procedures accurately according to department policy. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must demonstrate ability and understanding of the age-specific care requirements of geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric patient populations, including appropriate selection of patient equipment, communication, and safety needs.

Requires close attention and mental effort in executing multiple assigned duties, such as recording blood pressures, input & output (I & O), obtaining and documenting blood glucose monitor results, and distributing and collecting dietary trays. Ability to float between assignments and adapt to varying healthcare settings. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance with all safety and infection control policies to prevent injury to patients, employees, or self.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to document information accurately.

Education

High School Grad or Equiv (Required). Field of Study: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing program and has completed the first semester of Nursing Fundamentals OR has completed an accredited nursing program within one (1) year and has not obtained their license for Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
