The Role

  • Provide high-quality medical care, including comprehensive exams, diagnostics and treatment planning
  • Perform general surgery and dentistry within a modern surgical suite
  • Oversee medical standards, protocols and case flow from intake to discharge
  • Partner with hospital leadership on priorities, staffing and quality initiatives
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, coaching and clear client communication
  • Maintain accurate medical records and appropriate pharmacy practices, including controlled substance compliance
  • Support efficient daily operations, including participation in rounds and case reviews
  • Enjoy a flexible 3- or 4-day workweek

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
  • License to practice veterinary medicine in Tennessee, or eligibility to obtain
  • DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience preferred; strong diagnostic, surgical and dental skills valued
  • Excellent communication, client service and team collaboration abilities
  • Comfort lifting up to 50 pounds and performing the physical duties of clinical practice
