Half my cohort is running practice questions through an AI tutor

You paste the question in, it explains why C is right, and the explanation is better written than the rationale in my question bank. I've done it too, which is the part I want to talk about.
Here's what happened on Sunday. Eight in a row correct with the tutor open in the other window. Closed it, came back an hour later to the same content, and got five out of ten. The explaining felt like learning and something about it wasn't sticking.
So for anyone who used one and then sat the exam: did you keep it, and what rule did you put on it? I want to hear the rule. Verdicts on the tool I can get anywhere.

My rule came out of not having time, so take it for what it is. I answer, I commit to the answer out loud, and only then does anything get pasted anywhere.
If I look before I've committed, I'm reading. If I look after, I'm checking. Same tool, and the second one is the only version that has ever moved a score for me.

Three years of passing meds and I still fell into this in my first semester back. What caught me was writing my own reason first, one sentence, on paper, before reading anybody else's.
When my sentence matched I moved on. When it didn't match I'd found the thing I was wrong about, which is the whole point, and it's the part that's easy to skip when there's already a clean paragraph sitting there.
