Sat boards this morning. It shut off at 85 and I walked to my car certain I had failed. Now I have about 48 hours of nothing and my brain will not stop reconstructing questions. How did you get through the wait, and did the walking out feeling turn out to mean anything?

I have walked out of that parking lot both ways. The time I passed and the time I did not felt identical in the car, shaking hands and all. That feeling is not information. And if it goes the other way, you book a new date and it gets better. Attempt two puts the same license in your hand as attempt one.

I ran the trick four times that night and it told me nothing I could sleep on. Then I called my sister and we watched three hours of terrible television. The second thing worked better than the first. If you are going to check something, check it once, at a set time, then close the laptop for the day.

Your job for 48 hours is sleep, food that is not a granola bar, and books stay shut. You cannot study for a test you already took. When it posts, the license number goes straight onto everything you have already sent out. Whichever way it lands, you are going to work next to people who felt exactly this in a parking lot, your charge nurse included.
