More about AtlantiCare

Nursing here runs on Swanson’s Theory of Caring and ARMC has earned ANCC Magnet designation for the fifth consecutive time. If you are a new graduate RN, you are automatically enrolled in a one-year residency with monthly seminars and formalized mentorship; a nurse manager, practice specialists, and a preceptor walk the transition with you. For nurses already in practice, a four-level voluntary Professional Ladder carries a financial stipend, and the system offers financial support for advanced degrees, conferences, certification prep, and CE. In 2025 the Meadows Pavilion opened a $75M expansion with 50 private smart rooms, digital whiteboards, bedside dialysis, and ceiling lifts — so some of your day-to-day environment is genuinely new. Charting is on Epic. The setting is the southeastern shore: Stockton University nearby, Smithville’s shops and restaurants, and the beaches 15–20 minutes down the Parkway. What you will also hear from staff reviews is that teamwork on the floor often feels supportive, while upper management can feel distant, and some nurses say the pay does not keep pace with the workload. That tension is part of the picture you should weigh before you apply.

Work environment based on Kristen Swanson’s Theory of Caring; Magnet culture emphasized for staff engagement.
