As the area's only faith-based, mission-driven, and locally governed health system, Baptist Health provides care for every stage of life, including the region's only children's hospital, Wolfson Children's Hospital, and a continuum of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. For nursing professionals, roles emphasize use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), supervision of supportive personnel, coordination with ancillary services, and inclusion of patients and families in individualized care planning. Nurses serve as patient advocates and educate patients and families about disease processes and care plans.
