As a new graduate with under a year of experience, you can enter through the year-long New Graduate RN Residency, training beside unit preceptors with regular check-ins from the residency team, educators, and department leaders. Experienced nurses find coordinator and bedside work in places like the procedure suite (including bone marrow procedures), breast oncology, and the pain clinic, plus per-diem infusion float work between South Lake Union and NW locations where you give chemo, biotherapy, blood products, and IV hydration. Day to day you are inside an independent nonprofit that is UW Medicine's cancer program and Washington's only NCI-designated cancer center. Benefit-eligible nurses get medical and dental, PTO, a free Employee Health Clinic on the Fred Hutch medical plan, FSA, life and disability insurance, an EAP, tuition reimbursement toward a degree or certificate, up to $300 in CE funds a year depending on FTE, and ONCC certification support. After one year the 403(b) carries a 7% employer contribution.
