The work is Monday–Friday full-time (part-time may be available): you oversee student and staff wellness, meds, G-tubes, seizures, and allergies for clients whose diagnoses include ASD, ADHD, sensory and learning differences, apraxia, genetic conditions, and acquired brain injuries. The center is SAIS-Cognia accredited and has used its IWBMC approach with more than 4,000 people since 1998. If you also take on Neurodevelopmental Provider work, you begin with highly intensive training on that methodology before client contact. Caseloads stay at 2:1 or 3:1 with small-group instruction across Ladder, Hope School, Compass, and Community of Care, and you may see different clients day to day or week to week. Posted school-nurse pay is in the $40,000–$45,000 range, with medical, vision, dental, life, 401(k), childcare, and a referral program listed on the posting—and the FAQ notes raises come annually, though PTO is only five days a year.
