LRH was formerly affiliated with North Country Healthcare, Inc. (NCH), a system parent organization that included Androscoggin Valley Hospital, Weeks Medical Center, and Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital. In April 2019, LRH formally withdrew from the NCH affiliation, a transaction reviewed and approved by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Charitable Trusts Unit. This withdrawal marked a significant organizational restructuring, returning LRH to independent operation. The organization positions itself as a market leader in compensation and benefits, actively recruiting for a variety of clinical and non-clinical positions in what it describes as a collaborative and personalized atmosphere driven by inspiration and high expectations. LRH serves the northern New Hampshire community and offers nursing opportunities across units including Obstetrics, where RNs work under the direction of unit managers and educators.
