Pennsylvania is a compact-license state with a flat 3.07% income tax, so if you already hold a compact RN license the paperwork and the paycheck math stay simple. We cannot tell you what you would walk into on the floor. There is no posted pay, no unit name, no scheduling or float rule, and no word on ratios or the charting system. That gap is real; you would need to ask those questions in the interview. If you are coming from New Jersey or New York, people already here talk about cheaper, larger housing against a long I-78 drive if you keep a job on that side of the river — 60–90 miles, often 1.5–3 hours door to door, plus tolls and parking. Working in Easton itself is how you skip that. Downtown has been rebuilt since the late 2000s around Centre Square, the Crayola Experience, and the Easton Public Market, so there are actual places to walk after a shift.
