Its roots trace back to 1845, when the University of Missouri established its first medical department, with the system's first hospital opening in 1901. As an academic health system, MU Health Care integrates patient care with medical education and research, training the next generation of healthcare professionals. The system is currently recruiting for nursing roles such as a Clinic RN in its Pediatric Clinic in Jefferson City, offering Monday–Friday day shifts with on-site work arrangements.
