About this role

Ascent Healthcare Management is seeking compassionate and skilled Wound Nurses to join our teams in our Asheville locations. We have both full time and part time jobs available.

As a Wound Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality wound care to patients with acute and chronic wounds, collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities

  • Assess patients with acute and chronic wounds, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal wound healing outcomes

  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques, including dressing changes, wound cleansing, and pressure redistribution
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate wound care services, ensuring seamless transitions and comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes, participating in quality improvement initiatives to improve wound care outcomes
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting a culture of empathy and respect
  • Stay current with evidence-based wound care practices, participating in education and training opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills

Requirements

Current LPN or RN license

Skilled Nursing experience preferred

Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care preferred, with a strong desire to develop your skills in this specialty

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Ability to lift and move patients, as well as equipment and supplies, with or without assistance
