About this role
Where You Will Work
LCH Pre/Post Op currently has 7 PreOp rooms. This area completes the preprocedural care for pediatric patients having anesthesia for a variety of procedures in the operating room, cardiac cath lab, and other non-operating room areas. The hours of operation are 0500 - 1500. Preprocedural care needed after 1500 is performed in LCH PACU as staffing allows.
The PACU is separate from the LCH PreOp area and has 15 rooms. The staff ratio is 1:2 Phase I pediatric patients or up to 3 Phase II patients. Pediatric patients are taken direct to the PACU after anesthesia from the operating room, cardiac cath lab, and other non-operating room areas.
Neonatal intensive and neonatal progressive care patients do not recover in LCH PACU. This area operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Plans for significant PreOp and PACU expansion are projected for Q3 of 2027.
