About this role

Provides specialized post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in a Monday through Friday unit. Accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. Delivers care including rapid assessment of airway, respiratory status, hemodynamics, neurological recovery, pain, and surgical sites.

Implementation of post-anesthesia interventions, medication administration, and coordination with anesthesia and surgical teams. Continuous evaluation of patient response and safe progression through recovery phases. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned PACU patients.

Requirements

  • Ohio RN License
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support - American Heart Association)
  • BSN required at 5 years of employment
  • PACU experience
