*Job Description*
Seeking experienced Med-Surg Float Pool Nurse AND ICU Float Pool Nurses to provide high-quality patient care across multiple units. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to work independently while managing varying patient populations and workflows.
*Responsibilities- MedSurg Float Pool RN*
- Deliver patient care across multiple Med-Surg, step-down, and ED hold units
- Adapt quickly to different unit workflows and patient populations
- Perform assessments and provide safe, effective nursing care
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols
- Utilize EPIC effectively for charting and patient management
*Responsibilities- ICU Float Pool RN*
- Provide, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direction of a licensed physician using the nursing process
- Float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, ED (for ICU holds), and Women’s & Family unit as needed (ICU-only assignments at this facility after orientation)
- May be reassigned mid-shift to different units or hospitals based on needs
- Maintain safe patient ratios (not to exceed 1:3)
- Care for a variety of patient populations including ICU, step-down, and Women’s Health cases (e.g., preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, hypertensive disorders)

Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience (no new grads)
- BLS (Required)
- NIHSS (Required)
- ACLS (Preferred)
- TNCC (Preferred)
Comfortable floating across multiple units
Strong EPIC proficiency required
Ability to meet scheduling needs, including every other weekend
