American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
- General ED setting treating a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
- Required to work every third weekend
- No on-call requirements
- No floating required outside of the assigned unit
- Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR system
Requirements
- Active or pending MN RN license accepted
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- ENPC and SANE certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Experience with respiratory care and ventilated patients preferred
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Skilled in obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
- Experience with patient triage required
- ED boarding experience and ICU background preferred
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population in a fast-paced ED setting
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered for this position
- Candidates must be gone 3 months from their last shift if previously employed as perm staff or per diem at this health system
- No more than 5 days of requested time off preferred during the assignment
