WCMS is seeking a highly skilled *Occupational Health Nurse (RN)* to support an on-site clinic in *Champaign, IL (61822)*, with additional regional support responsibilities.
This is a *full-time, night shift role (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)* working in an industrial environment. This position also includes *limited travel (up to 25%)* and the opportunity to support other WCMS client sites when needed.
This role is ideal for a nurse who is confident working *independently*, has strong *triage and clinical judgment skills*, and is comfortable in a fast-paced occupational health setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct occupational health care for employee illness and injury
- Perform injury triage (in-person and telephonic for other sites)
- Respond to and assist with on-site medical emergencies
- Conduct drug testing, post-offer screenings, and fit-for-duty evaluations
- Perform OSHA-required and other surveillance exams
- Support return-to-work programs and non-occupational illness cases
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and clinic records
- Assist with clinic operations, organization, and daily workflow
- Support HR and site leadership on safety, compliance, and employee health initiatives
- Assist with determining work-relatedness and incident investigations (as needed)
- Provide coverage support for other facilities when needed (including telephonic triage)
QualificationsRequired
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Illinois required)
- Associate’s degree in nursing
- 3–5 years of experience in emergency, clinic, or occupational health settings
- CPR certification
- Strong triage and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Occupational health experience
- Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, ergonomics, and workplace health programs
- Experience with electronic medical or HR systems
