RN Nurse Navigator - Head & Neck Oncology

Utilizes independent nursing judgment when integrating health care. Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to department scope of service. May serve as a key link between providers, clinics, insurance concerns, communication, inpatient floors and outside facilities.

Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships with those with whom has contact. Able to work with growth and development needs of client populations in clinical area. Strong communication skills are required.

Coordinates, facilitates and negotiates with others. Monitors, evaluates and trends patient responses utilizing structured care methodologies. Work closely with ancillary and support services.

Ability to solve problems, identify and implement process improvements when needed. Self-motivated, working with little direction. Ability to facilitate groups, multidisciplinary teams, and implement best practices when necessary.

Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
