Position Overview
The LPN will provide healthcare services to incarcerated patients in a secure correctional environment, working under the direction of an RN.
*Responsibilities include:*
- Medication administration, including controlled substances
- Vital signs and physical assessments
- Health screenings
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Feeding tube and Foley catheter care
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Patient documentation
- Communicating patient status changes to RN/MD
- Following security, isolation, and PPE protocols
Requirements
- *1+ year experience*
- Current, valid *New York State LPN license* or limited permit
- *BLS required*
- Returning staff must have been away from any NY State facility for *2 years*
Pay: $47.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
