Registered Nurse (RN) – Adolescent Behavioral Health (PRTF) Location: Columbus, OH (In-Person) Pay: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour Schedule: Week 1 - 10am-10pm Sunday-Tuesday 36 hours Week 2 - 12pm- 10pm Wednesday-Saturday 40 hours Make a Difference Where It Matters Most DTAC (Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers) is expanding—and we’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about helping adolescents heal and thrive. In this role, you’ll work in a Male Adolescent Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) supporting youth ages 11–17 with complex behavioral health needs. This is more than a nursing position—it’s an opportunity to create lasting change in the lives of young people through trauma-informed, therapeutic care. Why You’ll Love This Role ✔ Competitive hourly pay ($34–$48/hr) ✔ Meaningful, mission-driven work ✔ Collaborative, supportive team environment ✔ Opportunities for growth and advancement ✔ Direct impact on youth and families What You’ll Do Clinical & Nursing Care Perform health assessments (vitals, injuries, behavioral and psychiatric symptoms) Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor for medication effectiveness and side effects Document thoroughly in EMR (MARs, nursing notes, PRNs, incidents, etc.) Coordinate care with providers, pharmacies, and outside medical services Behavioral Health & Therapeutic Support Help maintain a structured, trauma-informed environment Provide education on wellness, medication, hygiene, and coping skills Support individualized treatment plans with the clinical team Crisis Response & Safety Respond to behavioral and medical emergencies Use de-escalation techniques and clinical judgment under pressure Monitor for safety risks (self-harm, aggression, environmental concerns) Ensure proper protocols and safety procedures are followed Team Collaboration Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and discharge planning Support and guide direct care staff on medical-related matters Communicate effectively across shifts and departments Compliance & Documentation Maintain compliance with state regulations, Medicaid standards, and agency policies Ensure timely and accurate documentation Uphold confidentiality and ethical nursing standards What We’re Looking For Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio Ability to pass background checks and required screenings CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Preferred Experience Adolescent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing Residential treatment or crisis stabilization Trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques Working with high-acuity youth populations What Success Looks Like Accurate, timely documentation and medication administration Strong compliance with clinical and safety standards Positive contributions to a safe, structured, therapeutic environment Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams About DTAC DTAC is a growing behavioral health organization dedicated to helping youth and families achieve long-term healing, stability, and independence.
