Details Acute care hospital OR setting at a Level II Trauma facility Operating Room unit with 11 total rooms: 8 OR suites and 3 Endo suites, averaging approximately 65 cases per day Surgical cases include general, vascular (non-open heart), orthopedic, neuro, eyes, and ENT; open heart cases are not performed Will cross-train to the Endoscopy (Endo) suites Uses da Vinci Robot, Philips and Dynamap equipment, and Baxter pumps EMR: Epic 12-hour night shifts on a blocked schedule of Sunday–Tuesday or Wednesday–Friday Call rotation includes one weeknight call every 4 weeks (7p–7a) and one weekend call shift (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, up to 24 hours) per 13-week contract 13-week contract Requirements Active WV or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, with experience across all areas of the OR Current BLS certification required ACLS certification required Epic EMR experience preferred Da Vinci Robot experience is a strong plus A valid, unexpired driver's license is required for consideration Additional Information No prescreen interview required for this OR position Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a minimum 2-year break before being eligible to reapply Travelers may not work within the WVU Medicine system for longer than one cumulative year without taking a 2-year break 2 references required for consideration: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference (e.g., Charge RN); if the candidate held a permanent position within the last 12 months, one supervisor reference must be from that facility Work history covering 7 years (or from graduation, whichever is less) with no gaps greater than 30 days is required for consideration
